Multifaceted Dispositors (English): Rashi-Nakshatra-Navamsha

Supported by classical texts this book deals with the role of dispositors.  Dispositors are the sign lords where the planets are placed in Rashi or Navamsha charts. The lord of Nakshatra or the constellation where a planet is placed is Nakshatra-dispositor. They help to exhibit latent behaviour of the planets least expected of them at first sight. The planet behaves with a broader spectrum of possibilities and the astrologer should prudently select the right one. This makes the concept of dispositors an important tool in the interpretation of the chart.

Planetary behaviour should be decided according to the rules laid down by Rishis. Apparently looking to be very adverse at the first glance, the planet may not prove to be so evil; and an excellent-looking planet may not give excellent results. This concept applies to all planets.

For analyzing the example horoscopes, established rules of astrology and a few concepts which astrologers do not normally use, are exemplified. These are related to Sheershodaya signs and Shadbala, and its extended use, etc. It is observed that with an ordinary looking chart, the native rose to great heights.

Dispositors of the Moon's nodes, Rahu and Ketu, have a very important role to play during the life of a person because they show Karmas of past life for which one has to bear the fruits, good or evil, during the present life. This in itself is a vast subject but a brief description is presented in this book on their effects. This was done on the advice of Guruvar Prof. A. B. Shukla, Hon. National President ICAS. Suggestions to improve the contents of the book are welcome.
